The UP in Upcycle: Cyndi Buck Design

This weekend The Upcycled Word traveled to the high country of Aspen Colorado for a little R&R. If you've never been, you've probably read Aspen has a rustic charm with sprinkles of decadence (ok, a lot of decadence) however nestled between the Rockies and the Royce's therein lies the essence within Aspen's charm: high mountain simplicity.

While many travel to Aspen for the luxury those who make Aspen Valley their home live a far more beautiful life; the simple elegance of nature combined with the inspiring mountains fused with artisan spirituality, it is the true essence of mountain living.

While shopping "the most unique retail experience" in Aspen; an emporium of artisan treasures of jewels, soaps, photos, socks and books; there in a bashful corner was an Upcycle Artisan of the most luxurious Upcycled kind: CASHMERE!

The joy! Upcycled Cashmere sweaters and my favorite fingerless gloves which are so soft and luxurious I would wear them with a t-shirt and jeans all year round.

Meet Cyndi Buck Design from Idledale Colorado.

One of a kind hand dyed and designed clothing created in the mountains of Colorado. She utilizes recycled cashmere sweaters into genius designs. I will let the photos tell the rest. Enjoy.

Beautiful hand dyed cashmere colors.

Yes, she has recycled a crocheted table runner into a fabulous skirt!

Cyndi's designs can be found at various Artisan Fairs & Festivals throughout Colorado however for more information, to shop or to request a custom order visit Cyndi's Facebook page: Cyndi Buck Design.

That's what we call the UP in Upcycle! Shine on Cyndi!
